Terms of Service

Subscription

Loupe Pro and Team are monthly subscriptions billed through Polar.sh. Your subscription includes access to the current version, all updates during the billing period, and the features advertised for your tier. You may cancel at any time from your billing portal; access continues until the end of the paid period.

Free Tier

Loupe offers a free tier with GitHub Issues integration, 1 project, and up to 100 feedback items per month. No credit card or payment information is required to sign up.

Account and Access

Access to paid features is tied to your organization's active subscription. If the subscription lapses or is cancelled, paid features revert to free-tier limits on the next billing date.

Desktop License

Purchase of a Loupe Desktop License grants the buyer a perpetual, non-transferable right to use the current major version of Loupe Desktop on up to 2 personal devices. "Lifetime" means the buyer retains the right to use the major version they purchased forever; free updates are included within that major version (e.g. all v2.x releases). Future major versions (v3 and above) may require a separate purchase.

Each license may be activated on a maximum of 2 devices simultaneously. Deactivation from one device frees a slot; the customer may manage activations via the Polar customer portal at any time.

The license is granted for personal, non-commercial use. Multi-seat or organizational use requires a Pro or Team subscription.

Desktop License does not include cloud sync, team collaboration, dashboard, GitHub/Linear integrations, or any other server-backed feature. All data remains on the user's local device.

Loupe may revoke a license in cases of demonstrable abuse, chargeback fraud, or violation of Acceptable Use. Revocation deactivates the key across all devices on next validation.

Refunds

Refund requests are handled through Polar.sh, our payment processor. Contact us within 14 days of a charge if you are unsatisfied. Refunds are granted at our discretion.

Desktop License purchases may be refunded within 14 days of purchase if the software was not used. Subscription refunds follow the Pro/Team cancellation policy described above.

Intellectual Property

Loupe and its source code remain the intellectual property of the developer. Your license grants usage rights only. You may not redistribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the software.

Disclaimer of Warranty

Loupe is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The developer does not warrant that the software will be error-free or uninterrupted.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall the developer be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the software.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the application or website. Continued use of Loupe after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
